As part of the preopening phase of Ložionica, the future center for creative industries and innovation, 9. a two-day international business event titled “Creative Bridge: Korea & Serbia” was held on September 9 and 10. The event brought together representatives of leading IT and gaming companies from South Korea, along with key stakeholders from Serbia’s technology and creative sectors.
The event was organized in partnership between the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) and the national platform Serbia Creates, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Serbia, KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), and local partners: the Serbian Games Association (SGA) and the Serbian IT Association (SITA).
The aim of the two-day program was to establish business connections and promote knowledge exchange between the two dynamic digital ecosystems — Korean and Serbian. The agenda included an official opening ceremony with speeches from institutional representatives, a panel discussion focused on connecting innovators and tech professionals, company pitch presentations by Korean participants, and structured B2B meetings between Serbian and Korean companies.
During the event, memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed between BIPA and two major Serbian industry organizations — SITA and SGA. These agreements mark an important step toward deeper cooperation and open new opportunities for joint projects, technology and knowledge transfer, as well as future bilateral visits and collaborative initiatives. Participants from South Korea described the event as highly successful and emphasized the value of direct engagement with Serbian partners.
In addition to the business program, tours of local tech and creative companies were organized in Belgrade and Novi Sad, further deepening the understanding of the Serbian innovation ecosystem.
Hosting such a significant international event at Ložionica, even before its official opening, confirms the strategic orientation of this space toward connecting digital, cultural, and creative industries. Ložionica is positioning itself as a new meeting point for local and international partners – a place for the development of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
