Spectacular Event to Mark the Opening of Ch\u00e9ri Restaurant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Globally acclaimed electronic music duo Mestiza<\/strong> will bring the vibrant spirit of Spain to Belgrade on Friday, October 2<\/strong>, making their Serbian debut at Lo\u017eionica<\/strong> with a spectacular audiovisual performance that will close the venue’s summer season of open-air events.<\/p>\n\n

The event will also celebrate the opening of Ch\u00e9ri, the only Mediterranean restaurant within the Lo\u017eionica complex.<\/p>\n\n

Mestiza has emerged as one of the most exciting names on the international electronic music scene, becoming the first female duo to seamlessly blend avant-garde and tradition, fashion and music, past and future. Their contribution to bringing flamenco to a new global audience has often been compared to Black Coffee’s role in popularizing Afro House worldwide. Joining them on stage will be one of the region’s leading Afro House acts, Divolly & Markward, the imaginative live duo Talaz, as well as Neni, Rossa, and Flo.<\/p>\n\n

Consisting of Pitty Bernad and Belah, Mestiza has redefined Spanish flamenco by combining its rich cultural heritage with contemporary electronic dance music. At a time when globalization often erodes local traditions, the duo has made it their mission not only to preserve Spain’s musical identity but also to present it to entirely new generations through a bold contemporary expression. \nTheir artistic impact has been likened to the international influence of Joaqu\u00edn Cort\u00e9s, who introduced Spanish dance to global audiences in the 1990s by fusing flamenco with Arabic and Latin influences. Musically, they are often compared to Az\u00facar Moreno, whose Eurovision classic “Bandido” successfully united traditional flamenco guitars and vocals with electronic dance music. \nToday, Mestiza has developed its own unmistakable sound by combining Afro House, Organic House, and melodic techno into what they proudly describe as “Electro Flamenco.”<\/p>\n\n

The duo is equally renowned for the visual dimension of its performances, where music, fashion, drama, and mysticism come together to create a fully immersive experience. Their aesthetic has been described as “neo-flamenco gothic avant-garde”\u2014a striking fusion of Andalusian folklore with contemporary electronic culture. \nTheir signature look features custom-designed ruffled dresses inspired by traditional flamenco costumes, modern silk Spanish shawls, the iconic C\u00f3rdoba hat, and handcrafted fans that have become an integral part of their stage identity.<\/p>\n\n

One of the aspects for which Mestiza has received the greatest international recognition is its contribution to gender equality within the electronic music industry, a field traditionally dominated by men. Their residency in Ibiza has been celebrated as a landmark achievement for female artists, while Gray Area and Ibiza Rocks highlight that Mestiza is the first female duo ever to headline a full-season residency at The Theatre at H\u00ef Ibiza. \nVogue Arabia has described them as “fashion’s newest obsession,” while Ibiza Spotlight noted that “the camera simply falls in love with them.” DJ Mag praised the project as one that combines “commercial success with genuine artistic credibility,” following the remarkable success of their debut album Quereres, which topped Spain’s vinyl sales chart in its very first week of release. Their acclaimed Sacro club nights have also sold out in London, Madrid, and Zulum, further cementing their international reputation.<\/p>\n\n

Divolly & Markward<\/span><\/strong> are among the leading Afro House and Tribal House duos in Southeast Europe, enjoying an international career spanning more than a decade. Friends and collaborators Vladimir Pavlovi\u0107<\/strong> and Marko \u017divanovi\u0107<\/strong> launched the project in 2015, gaining widespread recognition with their breakthrough single “Ye Mele.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Today, they release music through the renowned house music label Make The Girls Dance!<\/strong>, while their collaboration with Hugel<\/strong> on the track “All Night”<\/strong> significantly expanded their global profile. Their productions have been featured on leading international radio stations including BBC Radio<\/strong>, SLAM<\/strong>, SiriusXM<\/strong>, Radio FG<\/strong>, and Cafe Mambo Ibiza<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

With more than 50 million Spotify streams<\/strong>, they are among the most listened-to DJs and producers in the region. Their latest releases are showcased through their own radio show, Night Shift<\/strong>, while their touring schedule regularly takes them from Japan and India to Morocco and France. Career highlights include performances at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE)<\/strong>, EXIT Festival<\/strong>, and H\u00ef Ibiza<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n

Talaz<\/span><\/strong> is regarded as one of the most exciting Progressive House and Afro House live acts in the region. The duo has captivated audiences with performances that combine electronic music with live flute, electronic drums, and traditional percussion instruments such as djembe, congas, and African bongos, creating a distinctive and immersive live experience.<\/span><\/p>

In a remarkably short period, Talaz has performed in five countries, with standout appearances at Sonus Festival<\/strong> and the celebrated Sunset Sessions<\/strong> on the rooftop of Galerija Belgrade.
