Masterclass for professional dancers “Scottish Dance Theatre”

The day after Scottish Dance Theatre set the stage on fire with two of their most physically daring and dynamic works, come and try it for yourself. Join company dancers Ben McEwen and Maya Bodiley in the studio as they share some of the choreography and movement ideas from The Flock & Moving Cloud from two of the most exciting female choreographers in the European dance scene: Roser López Espinosa and Sofia Nappi.
The masterclass will include a physical warm-up, learning original sequences from the performance and exploring the choreographic ideas that inspired the work. The Flock departs from the fascinating migrations of birds and our own desire to fly, whilst Moving Cloud explores the fusion of contemporary dance and traditional Celtic music.
The session will be at an advanced level and is open to professional dancers or those who are currently in dance training, ages 16+.
